Sheltered employment in Europe – DISJOB: Erasmus+ December 2023 Activities Unveiled

Erasmus+ has always been a symbol of educational freedom, innovation and cross-cultural networking. When the words ‘Erasmus activities’ are uttered, most minds turn instantly to images of vibrant university campuses buzzing with international students. However, Erasmus+ is more, much more. With a plethora of lesser-known projects under its wings, one that shines brightly is DISJOB: a pioneering initiative promoting sheltered employment for people with disabilities. Finishing up our first set of activities this December, we can’t wait to share our latest milestones with you.

Get to know activity: Transnational Meeting

On December 6th, 2023 we virtually gathered for our first transnational meeting. Participants from Spain, Romania and Croatia congregated in an online space, bringing with them a shared vision: To progress sheltered employment for people with disabilities.

This meeting proved to be not only an exchange of introductions but also as a platform to discuss the vast timeline of the project objectives. Together, we ventured into dissecting our target groups, delving into potential strategies and aligning our milestones. We also set definitive deadlines for our upcoming tasks.

Let’s Get Social: Launching Our Virtual Presence

In the contemporary digital age, having a virtual face is an essential part of any project’s success. Staying true to this notion, we launched our new webpage, a virtual hub of all things DISJOB. Be it activities, outcomes or basics about sheltered employment, our webpage is a repository for information, innovation, and inspiration.
To complement our site, and foster a sense of community, we also established social media channels on Facebook and Instagram. With these platforms, we aim to stay connected, engage in stimulating discussions, share project progress, and, most importantly, spread the word about sheltered employment to a broader audience.
